Steve Aichroth

Steve Aichroth

Administrator
Mr. Aichroth previously served as the Administrator of the Manufactured Housing Division until the agency was merged with the Nevada Housing Division during the 2017 Legislative Session. After the merger, Steve served as the Deputy Administrator of the newly combined agencies. Prior to serving as the Manufactured Housing Division Administrator, he was the Chief of Administration at the Nevada Housing Division. Steve has also served as a Commissioner at the State of Nevada Commission for Common Interest Communities. Before entering public service, he spent the bulk of his career managing and running private sector business in Nevada. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design from San Jose State University.

Tim Whitright

Deputy Administrator
Tim Whitright is the Deputy Administrator for the Nevada Housing Division in Las Vegas where he has worked since August 2016.  Tim shares responsibility for overall operations and administration of State housing programs including Low Income Housing Tax Credits and ensuring compliance with department and state policies and has oversight of the recently merged Manufactured Housing Team.  Tim has worked within affordable housing and grants in Southern Nevada for 20 years including positions with the City of Las Vegas and Clark County.  Tim earned his Bachelor of Science in City and Regional Planning from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and has 10 years of planning experience in California.  Tim brings a combined 28 years of local government experience in service to communities including land use planning, neighborhood outreach and HUD grants management responsibilities.
Dr. Mae Worthey-Thomas

Dr. Mae Worthey-Thomas

Deputy Administrator
Dr. Mae Worthey-Thomas oversees the state’s housing programs including weatherization, tax credits, and Housing and Urban Development entitlement grants. Prior to this position, Dr. Worthey-Thomas served as the Housing Division’s Affordable Housing Advocate and was the first to hold the position which was created by the Nevada Legislature in 2017. As the Housing Advocate, Dr. Worthey-Thomas collaborated with stakeholders statewide to advocate for improvements in Nevada’s affordable housing landscape. Dr. Worthey-Thomas has worked in Nevada state government for 15 years, previously working for the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation. Additionally, she is a former marketing, public relations professional and former journalist. She holds a Bachelor’s in Communications from the University of Alabama, a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Nevada Las Vegas and a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from the University of LaVerne. 
Christine Hess

Christine Hess

Chief Financial Officer
Prior to this position, Ms. Hess was the Executive Director for the Nevada Housing Coalition, a statewide nonprofit to advance and promote affordable housing for all Nevadans. Under her leadership, the Coalition identified new funding resources for affordable housing during the pandemic, supporting the newly launched Home Means Nevada Initiative. In addition to her recent affordable housing experience in Nevada, Ms. Hess has a background in community and economic development and business. Ms. Hess earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wyoming in 2018.
